PR Productions
PR Productions is a full scale live sound, lighting, backline, and live event production company. Formed in 2008 by Kevin Niessen and Barrett Ross, PR Productions has developed and maintained long standing working relationships with many of Saskatchewan’s staple events spaces and organizations.
Our clients include: University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Sasktel Jazz Festival, The Broadway Theatre, Ness Creek Music Festival, Remai Modern Art Gallery, and many more. In addition to live production events, PR Productions has provided installation services for many event spaces and places of worship.
In addition to speakers, theatre-style lighting, and video wall and projector installations, PR Productions also specializes in the instalment of acoustic treatment, and can provide acoustic baffles and diffusers for restaurants, offices, or theatres.
Small to medium sized rental packages for weddings, DJ events, graduations, and other special events are also available to rent. These packages include audio, lighting, video, and atmospheric effects such as cryo jets, and smoke machines. PR Productions can provide a skilled technician for any event to ensure its success.

Developed by long-time friends and peers, Kevin Niessen and Barrett Ross,
PR Products has grown into one of Saskatchewan's premier production companies.
Focussing on service, and quality, PR Productions has grown quickly over the last number of years. Providing regular services for customers such as The Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, University of Saskatchewan and Louis, The Broadway Theatre, and The Ness Creek Festival just to name a few.
Our History
After working together at another production company, friends Kevin Niessen and Barrett Ross decided that it was time to break out on their own. In 2009, Kevin and Barrett formed PR Productions.
The first contract that PR Productions was awarded was for Louis, The University of Saskatchewan's Student Union bar and event centre. One of Saskatoon's great live music venues, Louis is still a valued PR Productions customer. Since Louis, PR Productions has grown to include many Saskatchewan based organizations, such as Ness Creek Music Festival, The Broadway Theatre, FIBA 3x3 basketball tournament, Nutrien Fireworks Festival, Elim Tabernacle, Remai Modern LUGO fundraiser, University of Saskatchewan Convocation, and most recently Sasktel Jazz Festival Main Stage.
As PR Productions continues to grow, we do so with pursuit of mastering of our craft as our mandate. Customer service, and a professional attitude are our building blocks to making your experience with us, rewarding.
Kevin Niessen, President
Having worked professionally as both an Audio Technician and Lighting Director since he was in his teens, Kevin has a lifetime of experience in either field. Cutting his teeth working with other production companies and touring artists, It was ultimately Kevin's idea to form PR Productions.
Barrett Ross, Vice President
After graduating from RAC in Ontario, Canada, Barrett returned to his home province of Saskatchewan to begin his career as an Audio Engineer. After working for various other production companies, Barrett formed PR Productions with Kevin Niessen in 2009. In addition to being an experienced live sound technician, Barrett is also an accomplished touring musician and recording engineer. Having toured over a dozen countries on three continents, as well as recording multiple Juno nominated albums.
